"Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry"
The teacher may use tactics for listening: pre-listening, while-listening and post-listening activities with these new words and the video. Before listening you might learn the new words. While I taught new words in the lesson to my students, we use "magic wands" (we took pens and imagined that they were wands from Harry Potter books) and we did "swish and flick" like in the movie. At the same time we pronounced each new word, like Hermione did with "Wingardium Leviosa"
New words:
Houses – факультеты
Wizardry – колдовство
Witchcraft – чародейство
Transfiguration - трансфигурация, превращение
Charms - заклинания
Potions - зелье варение
History of magic - история магии
Defense against the dark arts - защита от темных сил
Astronomy - астрономия
Herbology - травология
Flying lessons (on broomstick) - уроки полета на метле
Alchemy - алхимия (changing elements into the other elements)
Divination - урок гадания
Dormitory – студенческое общежитие
Task. Put the new words in gaps:
